Tommy Delk

Tommy Childress (he/they) is a kidlit author who grew up in the Land of the Delta Blues and loves barbeque, dogs, and traveling. He has a BA in Japanese Language and Linguistics from the University of Memphis. Now living in Japan with his fiance, his time is split between teaching, writing, and wondering what life would be like if he were an otter. His writing philosophy is that there is nothing more important than joy, and he is dedicated to writing unapologetically queer stories with  sometimes soft, and often messy characters that bring complicated friendships, family and relationships front and center and always end happily.
