Robert de la Chevotiere

Robert de la Chevotiere (he/him) is an Afro-Caribbean poet and writer whose stories celebrate the Caribbean self, be it identity, religion, language, ethnicity, class, or migration. For him, it is never just about the story, but also the storyteller and the authenticity of the voice, the centering of the experience, the diction, and the things not said.  An educator, he holds a Bachelor’s in French and a Master’s in Education. He believes strongly in equitable education for Black and Indigenous learners, having a particular soft spot for neuro-divergent students. He lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

He is represented by Lane Clarke.
