LORETTA CHEFCHAOUNI

Loretta Chefchaouni lives in Florida with her husband, two young adult sons, and two cats, all of whom she adores though she’s allergic to at least three. She is a former early childhood educator and spends her days writing young adult books with a little creepiness and a lot of heart. A fellow in The Highlights Foundation’s Muslim Storytellers fellowship, Loretta wrote AFTERDEATH because she wants to see more stories with protagonists who are unapologetically Muslim, especially in stories traditionally told from the dominant paradigm.
