Kathleen A. Bethel

Kathleen A. Bethel is a writer and regular OPED contributor to the “Arizona Daily Star,” she delights in storytelling that draws people from both sides of an issue into the conversation as she challenges what is happening in our nation today. Kathleen was selected as a Fellow for “Tucson Public Voices - Class of 2019” as part of the national OPED Project. Additionally, Kathleen explores the beauty of the written word through poetry. Her work was published in “Oberon” (2024).

Kathleen is based in Tucson, AZ, where she and her husband Bill are the proud caretakers of "The Wishing Tree", which attracts 25,000 people each year and inspires hope for the future of our planet.
