chiarra arpaia

Chiarra is a writer whose stories always seem to end up with heroines tearing down the hierarchies confining them. She has been telling stories since she was a child, sharing tales of princesses and dragons with her sister to pass the hours on family road trips. After noticing how long she spent describing the outfits of these princesses, she studied theater costume design at the University of Oregon and learned to tell the story of a character through their wardrobe. Her love of historical fashion led her to start a bespoke corsetry business focused on helping women feel empowered in their bodies. Lately she has been using her writing talents to share the stories of her fellow artisans and the exploitation they face from corporate platforms as Executive Director of the Indie Sellers Guild.

Chiarra is repped by Miriam Cortinovis.
